[tr][td][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,padding-top: 10px;][classy=title]appearance[/classy][classy=text]A large, half-blind, leopard-spotted tom.
Faintstar is a well built tom. He is lean, his body weight consisting mostly of muscle. His figure is balanced quite well, beginning with his head. His nose is a reddish brown and is placed on a short snout along with long whiskers. He has amber eyes, though one of them has been blind from birth. His head is round and tan/gray with black markings. Faintstar’s ears are rounded at the top and are evenly spaced out above his face.
His shoulders are bulky with muscles and are supported by strong forelegs. His legs are striped like his face, but his shoulders begin to show traces of spots. The coloring also fades to gray, slightly. His hind legs bare muscles along with stripes and spots. His tail is the final piece of the masterpiece. It is gray/tan in coloring and shows wide stripes of black. The stripes grow larger until they reach the tip which is fully black.

[classy=title]personality[/classy][classy=text]Faintstar has always been on the jumpy side, considering he’s half-blind. He never recognizes this as a flaw, but as a trait he can’t overcome. He’s got a strong will and a large amount of determination, no matter what he’s doing. Faintstar is wise in ways that only some cats can tell, especially since he is marked with young age. Although he is considered wise to some, he believes he is often unsure of himself and others, but knows he will overcome this with time and experience.
Faintstar is and always has been extremely loyal to RiverClan. He almost never puts his Clan in danger unless it benefits RiverClan in some way. He strongly believes his Clan comes before anything and is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. This isn't to say he's psychotic and obsessive over Riverclan. He knows his limits and has a level head on his shoulders, most of the time. However, this "sane-ness" of his will slowly waver over time and diminish thanks to his brother Savagestar. Their history has put Faintstar in a personal mental battle with himself and his now dead brother's ideas. It's been said that if you sit and watch Faintstar in silence you can see a war raging in his eye that sees nothing.

[classy=title]history[/classy][classy=text]Kithood:[/u]
Faintkit was born to Sorrowmask and Hawkstorm in a liter of three consisting of two toms and a she-cat. Due to complications when giving birth, the she-cat and Sorrowmask did not survive. Hawkstorm was frightened at all the news he had to take in at once: a dead mate, a dead daughter, and a half-blind son. Faintkit and Savagekit were put under the watch of Ashenflower to milk. While still a kit, Faintkit was distant from his father but extremely close to Savagekit.
Apprenticeship:[/u]
Controversy started up when Faintkit became 6 moons. A half-blind apprentice was never heard of before and it was strongly suggested that he pursue something else. Ashenflower and Hawkstorm requested a meeting and convinced the leader to make him an apprentice. So Faintkit became Faintpaw along with his brother Savagepaw and the two trained together constantly. Savagepaw would never take his eye off of Faintpaw and made sure he was as strong as he could be. One day the two apprentices, their mentors, and Hawkstorm were on a border patrol and came across ThunderClan cats. A fight broke out and Faintpaw was instructed to go warn the Clan. Quickly he raced back and brought help, but not in time. Hawkstorm had been killed. When the cats returned home the mentors of the brothers decided it was time they received their warrior names.
Warrior Life:[/u]
Faintpaw became Faintsight at 13 moons with Savagefang. The two became the most loyal warriors in RiverClan during this phase in Faintsight's life. at 15 moons, Ashenflower died of old age. The two cats were now left with each other, and of course, the Clan. at 19 moons, RiverClan and ThunderClan went to battle, and the RiverClan deputy was killed. When the Clan returned home, victorious in all ways but one, the leader deemed Savagefang deputy of RiverClan. Even though Savagefang had taken on more duties, the two brothers were still close. At 23 moons, the RiverClan leader passed away after Greencough swept over the camp. Savagefang was made Savagestar and Faintsight was dubbed the new deputy.
Deputy Role:[/u]
For an unknown reason, the two brothers began to drift slightly. Faintsight did not agree with everything Savagestar did, and Savagestar started to not care. Faintsight began to notice his brother's greed for power and understood that Savagestar no longer put the Clan before everything else. The two fought often, and the Clan began to split in two. The ones who believed in raw power went with Savagestar, and the ones who believed in each other went with Faintsight. One day a small fight broke loose between two warriors and Savagestar intervened, losing a life. Time went by and the Clan soon settled. The two toms learned to deal with each other until the day Savagestar threw an idea at Faintsight. The RiverClan leader wanted to slaughter ThunderClan. Faintsight was outraged and would not allow his brother to risk the lives of RiverClan. Faintsight took his brother's last life, without the knowledge of the Clan and returned home saying Savagestar was attacked by ThunderClan.
Leadership:[/u]
Faintsight became Faintstar at 28 moons. The Clan settled back together as a whole. Faintstar has led his Clan on the belief that whatever is best for RiverClan is right. His ideas and perspectives have changed slightly since he has become leader. He has seen the point of view his brother was seeing and understood the power Savagestar was seeking. Sometimes the power would call to him, with his brother close behind. And sometimes, Faintstar would answer.

[classy=title]other[/classy][classy=text]Night slowly crawled into the small cave the cats called the MoonPool. Outside, the leaves on trees rustled and the water of the river trickled. The chilly wind blew calmly and senseless murmurs filled the air. Inside, warmth gathered around the small pool as if many cats huddled together in the space. The bare walls echoed the sounds from outside and seemed to respond a chorus of mews.
Faintstar twitched his ears and listened. They swiveled in all directions to find the location in which he stood. His tail swished around his paws and fell silently into the pool. The bulk tom jumped quickly. ‘Too close,’ he thought and inched backward. He laid down and sniffed for the fresh overwhelming smell of water. Slowly, he dipped his paws and nose into the sacred pool and fell into a deep sleep.
“ Faintstar” a familiar voice growled. “Wake up you Foxdung!” The tom, no longer confined by his blindness, rose slowly. His eyes glowed with hate but his body shook with fear. “Savagestar” he hissed. “Why are you in Star-?” Faintstar cut his question short and gazed around. He did not make it to StarClan. Dark trees loomed around the two cats in the clearing. Thick mist hugged the ankles of the RiverClan leader. “What do you want?”
“ You are stubborn like always, Faintstar.” the heavy tom proclaimed from a large boulder. “ If you would only listen, you would know.” Savagestar bounded down and stood a hair length away from Faintstar, their noses almost touching. Faintstar snorted and leaned backward. “We used to be friends-”
“Clanmates.” Faintstar corrected.
“Clanmates. Either way, we agreed to a lot of things. You are the leader of RiverClan now. Take advantage of that. Build up your warriors and attack. You have the power.”
“No, Savagestar,” the spotted tom growled. His fur fluffed up but laid calm moments later. “ It is not time yet. Leaf bare is coming. That is when I will make my move.”
“Your Clan will be weak as well.”
“No, brother, I have a plan.”
Faintstar awoke from his sleep, blind again. He removed his paws from the water and flicked them dry. ‘StarClan do not agree. But they will once they see the good I bring to the lake.’ Faintstar rose to his paws and padded out of the cave. Hushed hisses followed him out of the cave, echoing their disapproval.
